Transforming Klaipėda homes through strategic illumination, atmospheric design, and the art of candlelit warmth. Over 800 residential projects, 14 years of experience, one mission: making spaces feel like home.
How a passion for light became a career transforming Baltic homes
Audra's journey into interior lighting began during her studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts, where she became fascinated by how light shapes our emotional connection to spaces. She didn't just learn the technical side—she fell in love with the feeling that light creates. That curiosity drove everything that came after.
After graduating in 2010, she spent her first five years working with leading Klaipėda design studios, gradually specializing in residential projects where homeowners sought to create intimate, comfortable environments. These weren't just design challenges. They were opportunities to understand what makes a space feel like a sanctuary. She learned that the right light can change how people feel when they walk through their front door—and that's powerful.
Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she developed an innovative approach to layering candlelight with modern fixtures, creating spaces that feel both contemporary and deeply inviting. This approach—which combines the timeless warmth of candlelit ambiance with carefully selected contemporary lighting—became her signature. It's become the foundation of everything she does now.
"Lighting isn't merely functional. It's the foundation of how we experience comfort at home."
Over the past nine years at getmecare Ltd, Audra has authored comprehensive guides on atmospheric lighting, Baltic interior trends, and the psychology of warm tones in home design. She's also completed advanced certifications in sustainable lighting practices from the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects. Every project she's worked on, every article she's written, comes from the same place: a genuine belief that homes deserve lighting that feels intentional, warm, and right.
What drives her work is this: she's seen firsthand how the wrong lighting can make a beautiful room feel cold and unwelcoming. She's also seen how the right approach can transform a space into somewhere people actually want to spend time. That's what she brings to every project and every piece of writing.

How she approaches every project and article
Audra doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all lighting solutions. Every home is different. Every person has different needs, preferences, and emotional connections to their space. That's why she approaches each project with meticulous research and genuine curiosity about how her clients live.
When she writes, she draws from three sources: her extensive client portfolio spanning 14 years, ongoing studies in color psychology and material interactions with light, and conversations with homeowners about what actually makes their spaces feel comfortable. She doesn't write about lighting theory—she writes about real homes, real people, and real solutions.
Her methodology is straightforward but thorough. First, understand the space and the people in it. Second, identify the mood they're trying to create. Third, layer lighting in a way that feels natural, not forced. Fourth, test it. The best designs evolve through conversation and refinement, not through following a predetermined plan.
What matters most to her is this: lighting should work in the background, making spaces feel right without people thinking about it. The best compliment she's received from clients isn't "I love your lighting design." It's "This space just feels good. We want to spend time here."
